Things to do to prepare for the job market in the fall:

General career transitioning
Create business cards
Update resume
Build more contacts
Attend user groups (chamber of commerce, drupal, etc)
Study more Project management
Study more Drupal
Study more ITIL & MOF
Study more VMWare
Study more Microsoft and Linux OS
Learn some of the tools (graphics, programming, etc)
Create/update blog site(s)
Review courses available at local colleges

Some of this work will involve setting up and tearing down labs

Here's an interview question

Question:

Tell me about a time when you completed a successful project.

Situation:

The project was to migrate from Windows NT to Windows Server 2000.

Task:

We had to design and cutover the network services.

Action:

I was the project lead, and developed the migration procedures.

Result:

The migration was successful.

Answer:

I was the project manager for a Windows 2000 migration that took place. . . .
